Wedding of Adrian & Catherine

Our presence here witnessed the lives taken by Adrian and Catherine...

 Marriage is a gift given to you by God. It is not Adrian who choose Catherine to be the lifetime partner. Reciprocally, it is not Catherine who choose Adrian to be the partner for life. But through God. It is just one of the many given to you through the sacrament of Marriage.

As you go along your married life; you are made to promise:

for richer; for poorer;
in sickness; and in health;
until death do us part.

Your contract with marriage only last until death. Beyond death, there is no marriage at all. It is only death that dissolves marriage. When you are still alive, you have to nurture, strengthen the bond of marriage that God has given you.

Of all the seven sacraments in Catholic faith, marriage is the most delicate sacrament because it is a contract. It is easier for you Adrian and Cathy to sign and make a contract but the responsibility after signing the contract is great before the eyes of God.

There is no such thing stipulated in the contract the expiring of the marriage contract. There is no such thing as one-day or five-day, ten years, ninety days, but the contract before the eyes of God is a lifetime commitment.

The success of marriage, Adrian and Catherine does not depend on somebody else. But depends on how you treasure the sacrament of marriage that God has given you.

What are the purpose of marriage?

First, to have children
Second, to send your children to school
Third, to have your children achieve total human development

It is not the responsibility of children to support their parents financially. In fact, you are the one who will support them financially, emotionally, physically, in order for your children to achieve total human development.

You must centered your married life to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

According to Fr. Patrick Peyton, an ideal family that stays together, prays together, lives together.
